Who Are We
Global Agri-Tech Nepal (GATE Nepal) is a private seed company established in June 2010 as a joint venture by a group of people dedicated to agriculture development in the country with its head office in Baijanath 6, Lalpur, Banke in Lumbini Province of Nepal. With its Seed Production Area of 700 ha engaging 600 farming family we produce 1250 MT of seeds every year. We are also member of Seed Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (SEAN) which is a formal body of seed entrepreneur.
Goal
Increasing agricultural productivity in the country through interventions in the seed and agricultural inputs sub-sectors.
Objective
Increase seed business by establishing its own brand, marketing network and R&D activities.
Major Activities
- Production, processing and marketing of high-quality foundation and improved seeds of cereals, legumes, oilseeds and vegetables (open pollinated varieties and Hybrids).
- Client oriented crop varietal development and dissemination in collaboration with stakeholders
- Seed value chain development and business promotion.
- Seed production activities through contractual arrangements.
- Processing, packaging, value addition & storage of quality seeds.
- Promotion of newly released varieties of different crops for business purpose.
